Questions? B20 in EJ? Searched to no avail....
OK here's the deal...
I've got a '99 EX Civic and I want to do a B20 swap.
What all will have to be done to get the sky scraper IM to fit under my hood?
Does the Hasport mount kit solve this problem?
Are there any major differences in the air flow between a B16, B18B, or B20B/Z IM?
any help would be appreciated.
BTW: I did search and all that popped up was cars for sale.

Re: (DSeriesBKilla)
u need the intake mani from a obd2 ls integra b18b.. the b16 mani is designed for a vtec head and will not seal right causing massive vaccume leaks and a shitty running car...

Exactly what these people said. If i were you and you planned on staying non vtec then i would spend the cash on a Skunk2 intake manifold, but if you plan on going vtec then pick up a 96-00 B18b intake manifold from a salvage yard or off here. Im sure there are tons of people with these just laying around.

Do you plan on getting a vtec head? if so dont spend the money on the "aftermarket intake mani" just snag up a ls IM and call it a day, or if you get froggy have it ported but then you might wanna port match your head with the intake mani which will take time(but well worth it)

"If you own a 96-98 civic it is an EJ if u own a 99-00 civic it is an EK get it right people!"
Actually, EJ is the USDM code for the EK which is JDM but, yes you are right because most of us own USDM EJ's. But as for reference wise, more people know what a EK is.
In addition to that, the b16 head does fit perfectly fine under the hood and under a strut bar. I don't know whether you're assuming or you heard, but I have a B20 motor with a a B16 port & polish head, port matched. And it fits under my strut bar that fits under my hood.
