Question on Suspension
I have a 99 civic I need new shock and springs...Im buying the car off of my dad and he wont let me lower it until I get it paid off...which wont be until about the end of summer or year...is there anything you guys can suggest?? I would like to lower it w/o him knowing(he doesn't check my car or anything)

Yeah take the money that you would spend trying to lower the car and hiding it from your dad and use it to pay him off sooner. Then when the car is yours save for a bit and buy a good set of shocks and springs. Your dad is not an idiot and will see that you lowered the car at some point.

Thanks for the advice...When I pay it off what should I get??? everyone says GCs and Koni yellows but koni yellows are f*cking expensive...whats some other shocks that would be good with GCs???

I'm against the GC bandwagon, Any $100+ progressive spring would be a good choice. My roomate had tokico iilluminas and H&R race springs, rode like a champ.
45mph flat turns. It was a sick setup. I didn't mind it for daily driving, I like driving a go cart on the street. But that's just the teenager in me.

Good find, and a better shock for the extra ~$100.
Worth it in the long run I suppose.
Even still, I'd just run a good progressive spring.
