Do I need the prop valve from the 99-00 sir for ITR 5 lug ...or can it be ITR with k swap?
Ok im gonna make myself more clear.
I have a D16Y7 right now. Im doing a 5 lug conversion. From what i was told I require the 99-00 Si or 96-00 Hatchback Prop Valve...Because the ITR one will not fit.
I will however soon be swaping the motor to a K series, (December) Will the ITR prop valve fit in the K series, or will the 99-00Si/96-00 Hatchback prop valve fit in the K series as well.
What im trying to say is, if i spend money on the 99-00Si/96-00 Hatchback prop valve right now, will it be useless in my K series swap, and ill have to get the ITR one anyways, or will i still be able to use it. Also is the ITR one better then the SiR one?
It is fine running on my stock prop valve for the first couple months right?
Edit: I drive a 1996 Civic DX 2Dr Coupe

Your prop valve doesn't correspond to your motor, so to speak. It happens to be in your engine bay, but it's not connected t your motor. It proportions out brake pressure to each individual wheel.
Upgrading to an EM1 (Si/SiR) would probably be your best bet for fitment, although you can use your stock PPV and still be fine (relative term).
If you do plan on upgrading, the SiR one would be a good choice.

if doing a 5 lug you will need a proportioning valve from either an em1( 99-2000 civic si)
or one from a real ctr.
it will not matter what motor you have
