I have done alot of searching for the last to hours haha and i was just couldn't find the exact answer i was looking for!!

I have a 93 civic si hatch with Aem cai, dc sports one peace headers and apex n1 cat back exhaust and i was just wonder if i put a baffled test pipe on (basically looks that same as a cat but it's strait trough) for 80$ canadian!
ANyways i want to know if it will make my exhaust raspy because at the moment it sounds very clean and i don't wana **** that sound up!!

if you do it will definately change the sound and might become raspy. a quick fix to the raspiness is to install a dynomax 2.5" race magnum. only problem with that is you would have to hack into your nice exhaust.

When I gutted my cat, it sure changed the tone of my N1, and made it about 5 times louder, but I'm beginning to like it again

unless ur going to boost..ur just going to lose all ur performance..worse than stock..ull just have a very loud slow honda

It should sound nice, not raspy but it will bark. When you hit vtec it will really get loud. As far as power loss, I disagree.

With a straight pipe or gutted cat, your N1 will become raspier.
