Apexi N1 Sound Question?
How Loud is the exhaust with the Silencer, Cause Ive been searching and havent been able to find anything. I also know that its pretty loud without reading about it, but I would like to know what the sound is like with the silencer on.
Trying to decide between WS2 and N1!

yeah I like the look of the N1, but then I would like the sound of the WS2. I had a OBX/Forza catback that was really loud without silencer, but with it was just a little more quiet but still loud.

I have apexi n1 catback it is way too loud. It really sounds like **** on a dseries motor. I gutted my cat and even ran a test pipe but within a few weeks i bought another cat to put back on cause it was too loud. Now im running it on my gsr swap and it sounds a lot better but it is still fairly loud. Definitely go world sport.

ive had both, they both sound good. the w/s is deffinetly quieter, and sounds good opened up. the N1 does sound like crap on an n/a d series motor. it just kind of depends which you like, loud, and a big muffler, or quiet, and an almost stock looking muffler

If I remember correctly at full throttle in neutral witht he silencer and stock header and cat it was 82db.

What is 82db compared to? A lot of us don't know how to measure sound.

A stock 350z at WOT in gear I believe is 71, does that help any?
It is still loud but it is not annoyingly or illegally loud.

I have N1 on my ej8 and it is loud as ***** with a test pipe and it drags all over speed bumps if your car is lowered a whole lot...But i love it being that loud..oh yea it does sound like *** on a d series..The silencer doesnt really make it any quieter, just makes it sound like complete ****

i love my n1 it sounds perfect if you keep the cat on the car. if you dont it sounds raspy and ugly. i never ran into problems dragging it and i am pretty low. on my eg i have a ws and in my opinion it is way to quiet. imagine stock maybe a little tiny bit louder. i havent had rust issues with my n1 and it has been on the car 4 yr's. ohh yeah the silencer makes a huge difference in the level of sound from the muffler.(i used it twice to see)

i agree....the N1 only sounds good on the DOHC Vtec motor..
had it on my Ls...sounded like a$$
once i got it on my b16 whole new world sounds awesome..
but to the poster who asked what to get...i would get the WS2...i wish i could get it

it does sound good on ls's turbod though. my friend had an ls turbo w/N1 sounded better than anything ive heard that had N1 on it.

im pretty sure. the piping path should be the exact same. not 100% but several of my friends seem to think that it will.
