Default Question about my aftermarket shifter!

I have a 95 civic with a gsr swap in it and it had a short throw in it with a shift **** from some car (im not sure what its out of) but when i went to change my shift **** i found out it had a different thread then all other honda shifter??? the shifter is chrome and it is pretty beefy not like some of those cheap ebay ones. it even has a nice firm feel to it. But i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what are some good ***** to use or should i just invest in a new shifter?

Any help is appriciated!

Possibly it was re-threaded. Why? Wouldn't have a clue.

i want to say that is the mitsu/subaru thread pitch but i think i'm wrong.

quick look on an aftermarket company that sells shiftknobs should tell you.
