Question about heater core unit.
alright.. SUPER LONG story short...
I messed up my heatercore by snapping something off (on accident). So i had to get it replaced. I was getting no heat because the vent it was shut closed.
after i got the heater core replaced.. everything works fine, except the guy who did the replacement says the A/C doesnt work now..
Since its winter im not worried or rushing to fix it. But im just wondering for future references... would could of went wrong? coolant hose? the green liquid thing?
thanks in advance.

I don't know about the 6th gens but on the 5th gens you need to remove the A/C evaporator to get the heater core out, thus discharging the system.

Re: Question about heater core unit. (chickenfriedRice)
Umm.. chickenfriedrice.. look under your dash at your heat unit.. near the firewall, but from inside the passenger side.. Im pretty sure you had the same problem as me, your linkage cable from the climate control isn't fully connected to the heater core's valve that open and close the heat and ac vent.
heres a picture.
go under your dash and move your **** from hot to cold and see if the linkage cable is opening the heat and cold vents. You know its opening and closing if those two white valve things with grooves are moving.
