Default Question about exhaust with swap

Well, a buddy of mine just picked up a 93 civic ex. He has his 00' gsr swap waiting to go in the car right now, but I have a question about the exhaust he is going to be running. He picked up a 4-1 knockoff ITR header. It is supposively identical to the actual ITR 4-1 header. He is also running an Apex-i N1 catback for a 92-95 ex. Which catalytic converter is he going to have to get for everything to fit properly? He is planning on getting a test pipe, but I am wondering which application to buy it for. Thanks.

Ideally, I would pick up a Carsound 2.5" cat... assuming that the header is an exact replica of the JDM ITR 4-1. I have an SMSP, and I still have to cut and weld a flange on.

Carsound cat with weld on flanges.

How about omni's test pipe for a jdm itr? I think they run $87 on kteller. And it's a 3 piece test pipe.

i'm sure it would work. A test pipe is basically a pipe with flanges on each end. If it is for the itr, one side would fit the header definately, but for the other side to mate up with your n1 exhaust, you might have to get a different flange welded on.

email kteller for the size of the test pipe if you are not completely sure and tell him about your situation, he is extremely helpful.

Well, it turns out my friend has an omnipower test pipe for an itr, so we picked up that. When his N1 comes in, I'll post if it fit or not. Thanks for the help
