Icon5 Question about crank position sensor

Hi guys, I just received a code 4 from my 95 civic ex CEL, which is crank position sensor.

I did some research about crank position sensor, the internet said it is local at inside of the distributor.

I am wondering in order to fix the issue, do I have to replace the whole distributor? Or is there any other way to fix that issue?

Thanks

Default Re: Question about crank position sensor

Don't randomly replace parts.

Reset the ECU to see if code 4 returns. If so, Ohm test the CKP sensor as well as its two wires.

Google search for a downloadable Helms service manual for your car.
