Default question about air intake

I tried searching but couldn't get anything on this. My short ram air intake squeaks. Squeaks at certain rpms and if i press a little harder or let off the gas it stops, i'm wondering, is there a tiny hole in my filter or is there like some opening somewhere, idk.

Will it keep squeaking if i get a new filter? And while i'm on the topic of air, why're ppl so opposed to a muffler on an auto, more air in more out, right?

My intake does the same thing. I was assuming it is because of the butterfly on the TB being at a certain angle as the air is going by it, and because of the larger volume of air as well.

It's just the sound of air rushing past the throttle plate at certain positions. It's perfectly normal to hear when using an open element air intake. You won't change it by replacing the filter.

As for the muffler, first of all, it won't provide much of an increase in power, regardless of whether the car is automatic or manual. Many people seem to be opposed to performance upgrades of any sort on an automatic, though.

yea, idk i liked the intake cause it sounds kinda throaty on the higher rpms, but that squeaking drives me insane.
