Q: How to check if your Si taillights are OEM?
so ya im thinking about buying some Si taillights for my civic, the thing is, I seriously don't want to get ripped off when buying them. So I got some questions first, how do you check if there OEM or not? cause i seen some "OEM" style on ebay and was thinking of buying it. Second if is it worth it to buy OEM ones or ebay, can any 1 tell the difference? and lastly, how much should i expect to part for a Oem taillights? There only like $60 on ebay so should i just cop it.
this should be in the Q&A column cause I cant find it anywhere and I think this is a question most people run into.
dont need bad feedback just looking for some help that other people may want to know to

the oem si tails will say stanley and the ebays are oem STYLE so not real deal and ebay tails like to leak water and the inside reflective stuff will chip off over time

Don't get ebay oem style ones, they are crap. Just wait and save to get some real stanley ones. If you're lucky you can find some at a junkyard, but mostly likely on craigslist or something.

Oem says "HONDA Stanley" on the bottom of the lenses in the clear sections. Ebay oem Style are crap, and are never sealed properly. My buddy got luck and picked up some oem mint condition 99 00 tails for 50 shipped... Look around, you may get lucky as well.

Eg si or ek si?
If it is ek, then get oem they shouldnt be that expensive. After all there ARE NO "si. tailights". They are regular 1999-2000 dx,lx,hx,ex,si coupe tailights.
You can find 99-00 partouts on craigslist all day. Or pick a part. Or ebay.
But dont buy aftermarket they leak, crack, fade etc.
