If you have the confidence in yourself I say go for it. You'll need a plate that mounts to the head, and some tubing and get to work. You'll need a adapter plate for the turbo to mount to as well.

Good luck!

BTW: I learned to weld in HS too and it's a great skill to know!

I THINK I'M GONNA DO IT.
I CAN TAKE THE HEAD PLATES FROM THE STOCK EXHAUST? OR BIGGER ONE'S??

BUT I NEED THE MASURES OF THE MANIFOLD LANGHT FROM THE BEGINING OF THE PLATES TO THE adapter plate oF the turbo
(OR CAN DESIDE THE LANGTH??) I WANT ABOUT 1.0 BAR BOOST. IS IT POSIBLE TO DO IT BY MT SELF ??

AND I ALSO NEED A FLANGE FOR THE BOV.

you can usually buy the flanges to bolt to the head on ebay as well as a flange for various turbos depending on what you want to use. also the bov goes on the charge piping not the manifold. the wastegate goes on the manifold. also your turbo might come with an internal wastegate meaning you wouldnt need to make a flange for an external one. you will probably want to make something simular to these ones. good luck

Yeah, get plenty of flanges.

I'm not so sure this would be the best DIY for the inexperienced. I respect your gusto but there's a lot more to making a manifold then simply welding some tubes together.

I'm sure you could weld something up but how will it flow and how will it end up performing on a dyno? I would save this task for the pros who have engineering and automotive experience.

Just my .02.... if you think you can build a decent manifold then by all means go for it because you will save a ton of cash.

i am also with the guy above about the task of making a manifold. there is a little more involved here but if you think you can do it then go for it. i would suggest using 314 stainless instead of 304 as it stands up to the heat better.
