Default Purchasing a Civic - Need Advice

I want to buy a civic from a friend of mine, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Help anyone please?

Price: 10000$ CAD

Specs: I don't really know. All I know is that almost every thing has been modified, including the engine.

Because you want to buy the car for as little as possible and he wants to sell it for as much as possible. That means only one of you will be satisfied from the transaction.

If you buy it from a freind and something breaks you will want to blame your freind for it, and then who knows what will happen. Take it from someone who has dealt with this.

thanx for all the advices. i guess u'r all right. but just, coz my friend knows a lot bout modifying cars, thought he might suggest me good stuff. anyway, i'll look somewhere else then.

actually, i'm new to this forum and i don't know much about modifying cars. would like to own one now though, so i'm wondering which car i can buy. my friend suggested a civic to start with, coz it's the easiest car to modify. any other suggestions? thought about prelude, but seems too heavy. my budget ranges from 10000$ to lets say 30000$ max. (CAD dollars). any suggestions+reasons please?

30Gs ?? WHOA!!
you can build alot with that. go JDM ITR!

i duno man, whats your dream car? you can EASILY build your dream honda on that budget (unless your into supercars and such) personally i'd go H22-T CRX or K24-T EG hatch...or even better JDM ITR (body) B18C5-T(power plant)
btw where are you located
