Ok so looks like i need to replace my bottom end in the SI, ill be pulling the motor have a helms and most of the general knowledge, and tons of friends to help, anyone who has done this, wanna throw me some advice on were you got held up or stuck, and how you go through it would be very much appritiated.
Also i made a list of parts ill probably need for the swap, gonna get everything from Honda, unless there is better options, here is the list, if there is anything else I need let me know, thanks all for your help

i believe you also cannot reuse your studs. well you could but it is not advised. not replacing oil pump?

Also while you haver it out, what bearings are you planning on using?

And as stated above replacing the oil pump wouldn't be a bad idea if you can afford it. Throw a set of ARP's in there while you have it apart.

whats all included in the kit? im useing stock bearings, I have a friend who has a complete b16 block that im gonna swap in, i dont have a whole lot of cash for this, not doing it cuz I want to.

ive done a few swaps and somethin i always forget is to drain the tranny fluid before i pull the axles.. i know it sounds like common sense but if you dont your gonna have oil all over the place... for some reason i never remember to do that! lol

The gasket kit includes every gasket and O-ring in the entire engine, even the (metal) head gasket. These kits are very good quality, we have used them on several engines with absolutely no issues.

ACL bearings may be a good alternitive to using OEM bearings. They are $130 shipped for a full set, including thrust washers.

i kept spinning bearings even when i had oil in it so i did my block and comes to find out a thrust bearing came out so i would get some new thrust bearings their only like 10 bucks
they go beside the crank

Correct, however many of the gaskets are made by the same manufacturer that does them for Honda.

question since I have the motor out is it a good idea to replace the clutch and flywheel? The car has 80xxx on it.

if you have money to spend then ya replace the clutch. A good tip is when taking off the crank pulley put a screw driver(flat) in the flywheel and use a very stong breaker bar and 19mm socket otherwise your going to have a very hard time.

I have air so im not worried, i have done that part before changed out a few timming belts, shouldnt be a problem thanks for the tip

and it begins!!! got the car in the garage today, and have started breaking everything down, got the new block on the engine stand, awaiting parts, added a few things to my garage to brighten things up alittle always makes things easier when you can see. I have a bucket full of nuts and bolts already, dont worrie all labled in baggies, and all sensors numbered and writen down, to keep track. ill update as i go.

ok so im stuck on trying to take off the shift rod, it says there is a spring holding it in, I already took off the reatainer clip and just cant get the spring out anyone help??

to take off the bitch pin use the bolt that holds the headers into the piping wd 40 the bitch pin then hammer it out with the bolt works like a charm

so you put the bolt or the 8mm punch in the hole on the bottom and hammer up on it? will the pin come out through the top of the rod???

correct, I just use the ac compressor bolts (long 8mm bolts) stick it there and it comes out quite easy.

thanks guys for all the help i have stoped for the day tore up must have cut myself all up, damn honda small areas. Ill get on it again tomorrow, im sure ill find some more things tomorrow
