Default Pro's & Con's of Ethanol?

Went to fill the single cam cupe today and realized there are signs posted everywere 10% ethanol used now.

ive never really researched into it but what are some pros and cons of this in daily driven cars.

correct me if im wrong but doesnt ethanol eat away at o-rings much faster. ( I realize that 10% isnt much and wont make that much difference in this aspect)

just seeing what info is out there.

Thanks in advance.

Instead of asking a board composed mostly of 16-22 year old idiots, why don't you get on Wikipedia for 10 minutes and ******* read for yourself?

It will probably say something in the owner's manual as well.

According to fuel economy.gov ethanol is a cleaner burning fuel but with e85 (if your car is tuned for it) gets 20-30% less mileage with it. E10 that you are referring to is what most american gasoline is made up of. If you want non ethanol gas you need to look for "non-oxygenated" gas. In Mn at least you can go to the MSRA (mn street rod assoc.) website to find stations with non-oxygenated gas. Your state also probably has a street rod assoc. that will link you to a list of stations that are ethanol free. When I use non-oxygenated gas I have noticed that I average 10% better milage no matter how hard I drive.
