Re: (civicb16eg)
so we swapped it over to the GSR fuel pump and now the fuel pressure reads 41-50 which is slightly lower than what u guys have posted for an ITR... will a 255lph hi flow fuel pump bump that pressure up more? cuz rite now it still bogs when vtec is engaged but it feels slightly bettter than before...

The GSR pump, as long as it's good, should supply enough fuel for you. Try putting your gauge on the car and use something to slightly pinch off the return line to bump the pressure to where it needs to be. Could be the FPR is not doing its job; by pinching off the line to get pressure in line, this will let you know for sure. Once you get pressure where it needs to be, and you have verified your pinching device is safe there, take the car for a drive and see if the bog is gone. IF so, get a new fuel pressure regulator and you are good to go.

Dumb question:
Is the check engine light on, and if so, have you checked the codes?
It's surprising to me that a bog this noticable isn't trigerring a code, or isn't being caused by something bad enough to throw a code.
41-50 is a pretty damn big margin - are you citing 41 to 50 as vacuum hose off/on?
Also I don't think that sort of fuel pressure would cause such a bog. My ITR swap was running lean for a while due to a faulty fuel pressure guage when I installed ym swap originally, but it still made 175whp on the dyno and had no bogging whatsoever.
I think there's something else going on, but unfortunately e-diagnosing a bog is going to prove next to impossible.

I'm intrigued by this.
Got a picture of the wring changes you made? I'll bet your problem might have something to do with this. Getting sprak isn't the only thing that you need from your distributor. There's also an important CYP sensor in there that is key for the running order of the engine, but like I said in my post above something like this should still throw a check engine light.

From looking at what you changed, my guess might be that the cat, if it was from 94, could have been your problem all along.
