Problem, please help!
Ok, i posted a couple of days ago, changed the oil, recharged the intake filter, now my car idles high, about 2. Once warmed up and i put the clutch in, it goes to one and then 2, and keeps doing this. It has never done this before and gets progresively worse each day. Today it was going from 1.5-1.7, so i thought this could be the ecu, i had a check engine light, so i reset it. This is when the from 1-2 rev would come into play. Cruise control does not work by the way either. I have checked vaccuum lines and all are secure, and i do not see why this would happen from the little amount of work that was done. Coult it be the filter is not on right and it is getting too much air or could one of my O2 sensors be bad? i really dont want to have to take it to honda, so that is why I am asking my fellow ht'ers to help me out.
Thanks
Thanks

you mention a check engine light.. did your ECU L.E.D flash a code? That will help pinpoint the problem if you can get that CEL. Just count the flashes on the ECU LED when you turn your key to the ON position.. Do NOT start the engine..

If your coolant is low your idle will fluctuate like described...
Also I'd take off and clean the IACV just for good measure... my car was idling like **** and 10mins and some carb cleaner later it was running great.
Some say don't use carb/choke cleaner on the IACV but I don't know ANYONE who doesn't...
I have a buddy who's cleaned LOTS of honda IACV's with carb/choke cleaner and had NO problems EVER...
But I believe the factory does reomend NOT cleaning it with chemicals at all.
