About 3 days ago i was driving my 01 se lude and out of nowhere my check engine light came on, now i just did an oil change about a week ago and i have never had a problem with my engine at all so this somewhat was suprising. My car is completley stock but i know that when i changed my pcv valve about a week ago i should have changed my air filter as well because i cant see through it at all, so i am wondering do u think this could just be a matter of me resetting my ecu or do i need to get a diagnostic done to find out what the hell is wrong with it if anything at all

then we can help. takes a long time for an air filter to cause a CEL, if ever. it's something else

 

yah very rare well an air filter throw a code.

 

did this happen directly after you messed with the pcv valve/air filter?
