Default is it practical to resurface a pressure plate?

i can purchase a act 6 puck for $100, was wondering if its common to resurface a pressure plate? thanks in advance

I'm not sure what resurfacing a pressure plate is... I think you might be talking about the clutch disc?! If so I'm not sure if you would find a shop that would do it for you. I don't see why technically it couldn't be done but I don't know whether they have a life span. They are heated and cooled all the time and although the clutch material might be able to be replaced the backing plate might not hold up to being used over and over.
