power window won't close all the way??
the title says it all, the window does work it goes up and down but just does'nt close all the way, it gets stuck at a certain point and all you hear is this clicking sound from the (power window) motor. i took the door apart but everything seems to be in place. i uploaded a vid so you can get a better idea of what im talking about, any help would be appreciated.

it probably came off the rear track. you need to take the door panel off and see if the glass slipped out of the rubber. happened to me the other day.

Re: power window won't close all the way??
i think mine may have fallen of the rear track because it moved a little to the front like towards the fender...so to roll it up it would have to go to the left and the go up....
but i can really see if his does that also..

Are you sure no teeth are missing from the window motor or regulator?
You should just take the door panel and rain guard off and press the button while you look in the door and you should be able to clearly see what the problem is.
You'll have to take that stuff off anyway probably so might as well.

Re: power window won't close all the way??
i had that EXACT same problem TWICE, and the last one several months ago...popped the door panels out and and pulled the regulator out and the teeth were all eating up...hoping it would go up will only eat the teeth up more ...if you need to close your window for the time being you could just help guide it up with one person hitting the roll up button and you forcing it up!! which i have done by myself with a marker and knee to roll up my window and my two palms to bring it up for a whole two weeks until i got it fixed...haha...a new window regulator solved all my issues and will cost you around 70 dollars at the dealership and its a simple fix!! causes from my experience seem to be from loosen bolts from the motor to regulator or something getting stuck in the guides where the window rolls up to in my case a piece from my weather techs =X

Re: power window won't close all the way??
yea its a regular problem for hondas, driver side more than passanger, I guess it gets more use than passanger side, but its the teeth on the window regulator getting worn down and eventually it will fail, all you need is the regulator, motor should still be good if you can hear it. I got the whole window regulator and motor off craigslist for $35 , but they sell new for about $60-$150 depending on the kit and brand.

Re: power window won't close all the way??
I have the same problem with my driver side. I however replaced the regulators about a year ago so I'm thinking the teeth in the motor has gone. Has anyone heard of the teeth in the motor going causing it to do this? When I roll the window up it makes two loud pops and sometimes at the point it usually pops it stops and grinds, when I took the window or when I assisted pulling up on the window while rolling up it doesn't do it so it's like it only does it while there is a load on the regulator.

Re: power window won't close all the way??
This was such a great help for me.
I have the same problem with my driver's side window not completely closing
but with the motor still working.
Now that I checked everything out recommended,
its the regulator's teeth that are worn down!
THANK YOU ALL!
