i installed my gsr in my eg like last month, and it was running just fine for a few weeks but then this weekend when i drove it..i suddenly lost my power steering. i then realized that i was missing a bracket so the belt was moving really slow. well i jus remounted it and it started moving at normal speed, but nowthe power steering is gone and it makes a really loud screeching noise when i turn.
the fluid is full and the belt is running at normal speeds

any ideas?

thats really weird,..but i agree with circuitsi,...i would take it out,..with me,..i think i can feel the road better without power steering,.its not really that bad unless the car is standing still,..if you get it moving just a little bit then you can move the steering wheel pretty easy,..i take turns one handed

i was going to do that..but when we installed my motor..one of my friends that liek studies cars..says i can't do that w/o changing my steering bracket to a nonpower steering otherwise the fluid is just going to push it thru..or if there isn't any..the pump will still run and the steering will eventually lock up..so yea..any ideas what would be making this noise tho?

but wont the steering get messed up if i dont change the steering rack first?
