Re: (poorman's-allmotor)
my car is very similar in what's happening.....it's no jerking or anything, but the power loss seems like about 35 to 40 hp almost.......being realistic.....well, it's kinda annoying, and i'd like some ideas too.....maybe i need to get a proper drain and re pressurization..........

try getting an a/c recharge. so that way it my flow better and the a/c compressor wont be as hard to turn so ur engine wont work as hard.

Mine does the same thing.
It's a d16z6 and when I turn the AC on it loses a lot of horsepower. It puts quite a bit of load on the engine.
But I am not going to spend the money on finding the problem since I will probably rip AC out soon anyways.
It would be interesting to hear if there is an easy fix though since I'm sure it kills my gas milage.

Re: (EJ1 wilcox)
So what I do when I have my A/C running is when i want to accelerate, I just hit the A/C switch to turn it off. Then when i'm just cruising I turn it right back on.... no power loss when i need it.
