Power Door Locks (del sol)
Hey guys, I was trying to get my locks working and can't seem to find the control unit for it.
I have checked and found all the parts involved; the solenoids, actuator, and all the wiring for it. All my diagrams (working off a Haynes Repair Manual, PDF diagrams from Mitchell Repair, and some pointers from the12volt.com) point to it being somewhere underneath the dashboard, drivers side, behind or around the fuse box.
It's a bitch looking behind that fuse box, much less moving the fuse box at all to be able to get a better view. I'd love to be able to further disassemble to extract it, but I have no instructions and don't have anyone with knowledge to help me out on that part.
Would anyone show me where the control unit is, or instructions on extracting the fuse box (or any other way to get good access behind it) so I can see what's causing them to not function?
I did some searching prior and heard that aftermarket radios can cause them to fail, and since I have one, this could be the reason itself?
Thanks in advance.

Re: (super.taboo)
It should be in the door on the drivers side. If u wanna try a installers trick. Disconnect the wires from both door locks at the doors and then use the door lock switch and listen for the click of the relay. That should point you in the rite direction.
Del Sol's are the hardest car to work on electrically simply because they are so damn compact under the dash. Even more so than the CRX. I installed after market door locks on a Del Sol one time and after i was done i swore it would be my last time. It took me over a hour to PROPERLY run the wire from the passenger side door to the inside of the car. It was hard to find a good place for the alarm brain anywhere. I tucked up near the firewall were there was just enough space to wedge it in there. I didnt even need to zip tie it in place. I used a few anyway tho. My hands were cut to Sh*t but I did finish the job and everything worked gr8 afterwards.
Good Luck. Post if you find it and were it was found.
