Power to B18C w/o ECU
I had a difficult time searching this topic due to lack of keywords.
I was not sure of the right/correct keywords to search for the answers
B18C(non VTEC)
Carborated
in a 92 EG
How would I go about wiring the motor without using an ECU,
(I know this may sound a bit off hand) I heard this was possible.
I would like for the distributor to have power to put to the motor,
that's it, NOTHING else.
Please correct and help me in anyways possible
I would like for the helper to understand the question at hand and vise versa
thanx

I'm not saying that this will definately work... or work well...
BUT...
You should be able to just send straight 12v to the ignition coil... the rotor will only send the current to the plug it's passing... and in between it won't do anything but charge...
It should work in theory...
The ecu just sends a signal when it "knows" the rotor is passing the proper plug lead.
Older cars just get straight 12v to the coil... the distributer figures it out from there...
It probobly won't run too well though... as older distributers had things like vacuum advance to have it run different ignition timing at different rpms for the smoothest running of the engine... which is what the ecu does now...

Re: Power to B18C w/o ECU (NonovUrbizniz)
yes it is true that this CAN work
doesnt mean its going to work perfectly (thats a given)
just because it is not heard of , doesnt not mean it's not possible
NonovUrbizniz I appreciate the very useful information as apposed to the useless comments thrown in to clutter
I've heard that this can be made possible with:
F.A.S.T (Fuel Air Spark Tech.)or Speedpro?
Full Stand Alone
and custom Distributor provided with Stand Alone?
finally a VERY custom made wire hardness (hardwired everything)
^ that was just some of the info I've recently picked up
any USEFUL additions and corrects would be greatly appreciate
