installing a transmission w/o trans jack
This might seem like a stupid question but i don't have a transaxle jack or an adaptor, but a standard floor jack, removing it will be relatively straight forward, but how do I get it back in? Am I screwed if I don't have that. It's an AT and weighs a ton!
Any input?

Re: installing a transmission w/o trans jack (civicmon)
i've never used a trans jack, and i've done more tranny swaps(AT too)than i care to think about....i just balance the tranny on a standard jack, slide it under the car.jack it up until it's pretty close to being lined up,then just lean over the passenger side fender into the engine bay and wiggle it around until it'a properly positioned....you can also lift it with an engine lift if you have one.

i lift the tranny into place while another person on top puts in 2 of the bolts then does the mount (i also use a jack for that damn trannys are heavy)

Or use a regular wrench and then gash your knuckles when it comes loose. Sorry bad experiance. You could do poor mans breaker bar with a pipe.

Been there and done that more times than I would like to think about. Air tools were one of the best investments that I ever made.
