Default Possibly ruined motor mounts >>> Prothane Motor Mounts?

I was in an accident recently, and i think i ruined my motor mounts. I hit a gaurd rail and slighty pushed in the frame. If you look closely on this picture you can notice the motor/motor mount do not line up correctly.

I think i may hav ripped my mounts. I saw some mounts on ebay and wondering if they are what i need, and if they are worth the $.

You will need to get access to a press so that you can press the mounts in. Make sure that the housing is also not damaged or cracked

For $60.00 it would be worth a shot, but confirm with the rest of the h-t members to make sure that you are able to press them out. I don't know why you wouldn't be able to...

check jimfab.com for new mounts... he makes a nice race or street mount whatever you want. very good customer service and excellent products..

also for the mount inserts, they do not need to be pressed in.. and you can find them for 40 shipped from inlinefour.com

Those are inserts, not replacement motor mounts. The only thing that they do is reduce the movement of the motor when a load is placed on it.

I don't know if this will help you out in any way, but I have PROTHANE inserts. I feel a lot of vibration inside the car and it gets annoying in the beginning, but you eventually get used to it. I wouldn't say I REGRET getting them, but if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't of only because of the comfortability. If you can live with it, then get it.
