Is it Possible to use a 225/50 r15 Kuhmo Ast Tire on a si or gsr blade rim?
Here is the question that I am wondering I have 205/50 r15 Kuhmo AST tires on my blades and well there down to the wear bars finally and I need new tires.
So could I mount a 225/50 r 15 tire on a 6.5 inch rim?
Or would you guys just stick with the 205/50 r15 tire?
I know the widest tire you can put on a civic is a 225
but what do you guys think?

I have 205/50/15 on my Si wheels, they fit pretty comfortably. I am pretty sure you can squeeze a 215 on there but that's probably as wide as I would go on those wheels, plus if you are going to go that big make sure you look into getting your fenders rolled cause you might be looking at rubbing issues at that point as well.

yeah thats what I thought I am lowered on neuspeed sport springs as well so my car isnt that low right now. but I might just go with the 205 tires again.

I'd just stick with the 205's. a 6.5 inch wide rim will fit those the best. i've put 245's on a 7-inch wide rim and i honestly thought it looked absolutely retarded... inda like seeing an 8-year old kid wearing size 12 shoes. plus it would kill your gas mileage because of increased road force.

stick with your 205's i've tried 215's and was grinding inner fender walls on full turns ..
how much for the d16y8 tranny?
how much mileage and any problems?

You CAN run 225's on those wheels but it will look like complete ***. I have seen it, actually mounted them myself at work, and it looks like a shrunk street radial for DD. dont do it.
