Tire Size Matter? 195/50/15 or 195/55/15

Tire Size Matter? 195/50/15 or 195/55/15
Just let me say to start, big wheels are cool, and I love my 17's but Im really looking of going in the direction of a smaller wheel/larger tire. Im thinking of the SSR Competition 15's on my 99 FBP Si. My question is would I have an advantage in going with a 55 wide tire over a 50, or vice versa? I dont drag race, I like to drive down windy backroads though. thanks!

i got rid of my 17's for the same reasons..I ended up trading them for SI rims that had 195/50 and thats what i have on my car..As soon as i need new tires i'm replacing them with 195/55...50's just have a crappy ride and alot of road noise compared to the 55's

50 and 55 is the height of the tire.
195, 205, 215 is the width.
i'd just go with what the stock height of the tire, because IMO, honda knows best.
