my daughters car is doing the same thing, we have changed the fuel filter, distributor cap, coil, plugs, plug wires, getting ready to change the pvc -- after we changed everything once it seemed to run good again for about 5 minutes, then it just died... so if anyone got any help or anything worked would be great to know more

The car starts without any issues. When we press on the gas it sputters out and dies. once and a while we can drive it for a bit but eventually sputters and dies. my daughter said she drove it through some high water on highway but nothing higher than a normal 'heavy downpour' before it started happening. no codes came back from the comptuer when we put it on there.
we have changed out the coil, plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, cleaned air intake, feul/water cleaner in gas, gas filter and we are waiting for the pcv value to come in to replace it. once we gave it a new tune-up it did run for about 10 minutes with no issues but then sputtered and died. finally got it started enuf to get it back home.
could there be water in the gas tank? any other sensor? anything else we need to test. before this it wasnt really running bad or anything. the honda dealer we originally took it took couldnt isolate the problem just suggested things to start updating (which we have done so far)..
thanks for any help. if we could figure it out i'd take it in to have it done, i just dont want to fix things they are not sure are the issue
