please help identify, B20 motor engine ? B16 tranny ? LS ECU computer ? specs, codes
97 civic swap setup:[sorry, was cheated and mislead by mechanic, dont know what setup I have right now]
1. B20 CRV motor ?
(don't know what year, stock harness has part number 37820-P8F-A81, does anyone know what year, JDM/USDM, OBD1/OBD2, what model?)
2. ECU 37820-P75-A01 computer ?
(I am guessing I have USDM 94~95 LS OBD1 computer, please help confirm? OBD1 or OBD2?)
3. hydro Tranny ?
(close-gear ratio hydro tranny, don't know what tranny I have, but it revs hard on the freeway and it does not have a cable in front of tranny, but rather a slave cylinder with rubber boot)
please help, cannot count on my mechanic anymore, he lied about my setup being JDM B20 high compression motor, JDM 93 ls computer, and long-geared LS tranny, but with help from many people on this forum, we found my setup rather to be USDM ECU, close-geared ratio tranny, and right now, dont know what my motor is from

1. On the block near the tranny should be a code that states b20,b16 whatever followed by serial #. on the head near the headers should be stamps that have the year on the head ex. 2000= 0/0
2.i believe its a ls, not really sure
3.b16 trannys rev high on the freeway, ls trannys are completely opposite

1. the B20 only came out of the crv so thats the motor you have.
2. The ecu stamped P75 belongs to an LS, the only way you can tell is by looking at the plus on the ecu, or if you have a jumper harness then youre running obd-1.
3. if its a close ration tranny, then its most likely either a B16 or gsr...look at the case and it should have a number stamped, if its a B16 it should say "S4C"....
