Re: please help !!!!! changing fuel injector (stanmcis)
just a few 10mm bolts holding the rail to the manifold...pull upwards and unclip the harness from that one injector and then that is it...installation is reverse of that gl

yeah, just pop it off without removing the feed line, or whatever its called from the filter...that would be exciting.
unscrew your gas cap
unscrew the bolt on top off the fuel filter to relieve pressure....SLOWLY
then do what ek4 said, removed the 10mm's on top of the fuel rail.... then take some care in wiggling the rail off, the injectors should slide out attached to the rail.
if you haven't bought new rings for the injector, you have to reuse the ones on the one you're replacing... two black rubber rings... the big one should stay in the head, the other is at the top of the injector and will probably come out with the injector when you remove it from the rail.
installation is the opposite of removal.
BUT
to make sure everythings good, don't start the car completely, just turn it to the on position (where your lights light up)
if nothings leaking, then you're good.

Thanks, Bought the injector at Pep Boys and ready to install. (in driveway - 12 degrees - 15 mph winds) good thing we are not replacing the engine. My boy just came home from the navy for a day and developed the 3 cylinder problem. I gave him the car with 225,000 miles. It runs great until something happens. Thanks Again. Stan and Phil
