Default Pin out knock sensor 97 civic ex

Hey all. I am throwing a code for the knock sensor and I was wondering I'd there was any information out there on how to pinout the connector.

A little background on the car. About 10,000 miles ago my pistons gave out and I threw a rod. After buying an engine from a parts car and replacing it all I found out it's a 1.5L instead of the 1.6 that was in there previously. I have successfully gotten rid of the codes it had been throwing except the knock sensor one. Evidently the older models didn't have them on the engine... Any help or redirect would be much appreciated.

Did you put a knock sensor back on the D15 block from the Y8? You may have to tap any possible holes back there to get it to thread.

Pinout? It's one wire. Go to FFS:Technet and look at the ECU pinouts to see what pin to run the wire to. I'd tell you, but I'm just as lazy as you are.

Fortunately, it's not my issue, it's yours.

Hondapartshero- The sensor was stuck so I don't have one to put in the new block. I had a similar problem with the crankshaft speed fluctuation sensor since obd1 engines don't have them. I spliced the wire just downline at the ecu to trick the ecu that it was receiving a positive signal when it was really jumping off another sensor. (article I read here on HT. ) I guess my original question was is there a way to do the same with the knock sensor?

Eran- thanks for the diagram. I had lost the link since I had done the crankshaft splice and it's a great page to have handy.
