Picayune, MS -- Need help installing springs on 95 Civic EX
Not for me, this is for a good friend of mine who needs to have her springs replaced on her EX.
Anyone in the area that can help, PM me or reply to this thread.
She is not the type to do it herself, otherwise I would tell her how to do it.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Picayune, MS -- Need help installing springs on 95 Civic EX (Ag-Eng)
It's pretty straight-forward.
You're going to need a spring compressor/clamp. I think you can rent this from Autozone.
Simply pull back the spring with the 'clamp' and pull out the retainers.
Take off the spring and place the new one in.
Clamp it down, take some wheel bearing grease and slab it where the retainers go.
Put the retainers back in, they will stick to the grease , and slowly release the clamp.
It's tedious and will require a little muscle to squeeze the clamp/compress the spring.

It require no muscle if you have air tools. I can install a new set of springs in an hour if i dont hit any problmes like rusted or rounded bolts.

it sounds like you are talking about valve springs not suspension springs

Re: Picayune, MS -- Need help installing springs on 95 Civic EX (instructor74)
Thanks to everyone for telling me how to do it (which I already know)
I need the physical form of help to get her rolling. She is in MS, I am in CA, not exactly a day job for me.
Yes, I am talking about suspension springs, not valve springs.
Is anyone in the area that could help her put springs on her car? Clearly everyone in MS has a lifted truck because no one knows how to work on a Honda.
