There are 2 round pieces they go on the bar that connects to the transmission. It should be one bolt and that bar will disconnect from the transmission and you will see a single piece of rubber remove that and put the 2 round pieces in. Now the rectangular piece goes on the opposite end where the the shifter comes down out of the car. You will need to remove 2 bolts and the linkage will drop a little there will be a metal piece that comes off then you can slide the bushing off toward the back of the car. Now comes the hard part you have to put the new bushing on. When I did mine I had to use alot of lube and fight with it for a while. Good luck

no it doesnt go on the shifter itself. look at the pics again. i know the pics suck but thats where they go. the round part goes to the front and the other on the back part.

Everything you need to know is in that thread. There are very clear pictures of the shift linkage, the red bushings in the pics are the ones you want to replace.

one piece has a concave that the shifter ball fits in and the other one looks like it goes on the stabilizer bar but is just one piece. i know where the long piece goes.
