if you dont want paint on the lettering, put vasoline on it and when its all dry take a razor blade and scrape the paint off the the lettering.

I used this stuff when prepping my teg valve cover. All I can say is it works GREAT!!! Use that stuff to get all old paint and everything else off of it. Be sure to follow the directions on the can.

and be careful, that stuff will mess alot of stuff up, dont get it on rubber and use it away from any other painted stuff, the mist can cause it to bubble.

waste if time for prep and clean up. paint the whole cover and than use some 320 or 400 on a sanding block to remove the paint from the letters. that is how i did mine.

if you did a search and type in "wrinkle paint" in the archive there is tons of stuff that cant help you do it correctly.

and go here especially: and remember NO PRIMER IS NEEDED FOR WRINKLE PAINT!

i normally charge about 40-50 bucks depending on the color & how much prep work is required to the valve cover. If you interested, you can see some of my work from the honda-acura.net members. my e-mail address is running925@hotmail.com
