Default P72 ECU for JDM B16A??? Help please

Yeah, I just got my B16A in and it came with a P72 GSR ECU. The guy at the place I bought it said that the ECU would perform the best for the JDM engine because of fuel mapping, rev limiter, etc... Is this true or was the guy bullshitting me?

Also, the engine came with the half shaft but no axles, which axles should I use?

All work is being done by me and I need to know these things ASAP. Thanks.

no it wont.unless it is chipped. i have a jdm b16a sir2 swap and i am running a chipped p28 ecu tuned by a pro. i was running a jdm p30 ecu that came with the swap and it make my car idel and drove like ****.
and u can get 94 up acura integra axles.which is what i am running now or u can get 99~00 civic si axles.. and also u might want to get a del sol vtec model throttle cable bracket and i use 94 acura integra LS model throttle cable. GSR wont work ,too short
pm me if u have any questions

Isn't the P28 a 1.6 SOHC VTEC ECU? How can I get this thing to run good with a stock ECU? Or am I deemed to have a shitty running car til I man up and drop the $300 on a tune?

noticed that i said a chipped p28 ecu tuned by a pro ? the link below is where i got my chipped ecu. he is a pro and nice guy to work with. he will tune your ecu based on the mods u have on your car. i had him programmed CEL as a shift light at 7500 rpm.

The thing is that I just need to get an ECU from the place I originally got it from that will make the car run relatively well...

He's full of ****. A P72 ECU sucks hard for a B16A engine because the P72's VTEC is way too low at 4500rpm, and it's programmed with the dual stage intake manifold in mind that opens up at 5800-6000rpm, so the fuel and timing mapping is all wrong for a B16A.

Sell that P72, or have it chipped with an Uberdata/Crome prgram and take the car to a dyno to have it tuned and programmed. If you can find a P28 ECU (comes from any SOHC VTEC EX/Si 1992-1995 Civic) they're the easiest to chip, and if you can sell that P72 off for a pretty penny to someone who needs it ro run a B18C1 engine then do that.

Also as crazyguy stated 94-01 Integra axles or 99-00 Si axles work fine. Also 94-97 Del Sol VTEC axles work too. Axle places are stupid, so ABS or not will work fine.

The stock ECU intended for that engine is a P30 ECU. If you want the right ECU he owes you a P30, and you need to swap it out for that P72 ECU.
