Default p28, what usually breaks on these computers?

I have a p28 the guy installing the distributor did something and the computer is not working anymore.

Now, I'd like to know what usually is the problem with this computers when something like that happens. I opened and looked at it, everything seemed just fine.

Any ideas? I'd like to repair it since these computers are really expensive.

you can probally find a used p28 for 100 bucks if not cheaper..try local junk yards..you might be able to find one there for real cheap..your not gonna be able to find the problem...and youll never be able to fix it

did you ground yourself before you open the ecu? if you don't you could do some damage to the ecu. try to swap with your friend ecu to see if you that is your problem before you go and buy an ecu.
