Re: p28 vs p72
P28 are single overhead cam vtec ECUs, P72 are DOHC ECUs such as found in GSRs, b16 SIs, etc. A P28 can be converted to a DOHC ECU simply by socketing and inserting a new chip. The P28's are OBD1, if you want to use one in a 96+ Integra, you will need an OBD conversion harness.

Re: p28 vs p72
dont mean to thread jack. but i had this situation come up early today.
im selling a p28 ecu
a guy in a 00 si wanted to buy it, plugged it in and took off running to "test it"
came back saying vtec was not working, as well as some other things. telling me my ecu was bad.
since this p28 is not chipped for dohc- there is no way in hell vtec would have engaged at all correct? even if the guy doesnt want to buy this after all *since he said he wanted to get the ecu chipped anyways* id still like to let him know i didn't try selling him a faulty ecu.
