if you have vtec wired and the o2 converted to 4 wire all done correctly it shouldnt be rich at all. well, no more than a stock EX.

A chip is a chip.

Get it chipped and get it tuned.

Or better yet, get the right ecu.

p28 is technically the correct ecu, unless you consider the P08, which is identical with the exception of the oxygen sensor heater circuit. a rom dump on both ecu's shows there is no differance in timing or fuel maps.

how is it gonna have the same fuel maps if the p28 is for a 1.6 and the p08 is for a 1.5 and also im looking for a way to get a chip with a p08 bin file on it and also a performance increase

tune it. a generic chip is next to worthless.

I'm going to have to disagree. It is true that the P08 does not have the O2 heater control. But I've seen three P08 pulls and done two myself and none of them are identical to P28 maps.
Now technically they are different, but they are close enough to drive around on with little to no problems other than running a little rich at times. (foot position dependant)

OP - If you want more power and better mpg, pick up a P08 or...

I could not have said it any better myself.
