oxygen sensor problem.
hey guys i have a 00 si with comptech headers. my cel came on the other day and it was throwing the code for the oxygen sensor. i went and got one. i cannot get the old sensor out. a couple of my buddys were here and they also could not get it out. is there any little secret. i really dont feel like taking the whole header off. is there any other way? thanks

do you think that i will have to take off the header to do it then? tryed the pb blaster did not work when i tried it maybe with that socket it will.

Actually, most auto parts stores rent out a full o2 sensor socket set with a couple of offset sockets so you can reach the sensor without having to pull the header off. I know in my 98 hatch that the a/c lines were in the way, but I was able to remove the sensor with that offset socket. (Advance Auto Parts)

Mine old O2 sensor was all rusty. To make it easier once you get the header out, spray the **** out of it with wd40. At least I think that makes it a little easier to take out.
