Oxygen Sensor
I've searched everywhere for the answer to this quesiton and can not find the answer. I have a 99' Civic Si and recently purchased a Bosch Universal Oxygen Sensor. The only problem is I do not know the wire conversion. The instructions ahve OE sensor types, but I do not know what kind of OE sensor I already have (stock). If anyone could help me with this problem, it would be appreciated. Thanx.

Re: Oxygen Sensor (CassieCivic99)
you have a four wire exhaust O2 stock. you also have 2 sensors for that car, one for the exhaust and one for the intake. not sure if thats what you wanted to know.

Actually you have two 02 sensors in your exhaust. One pre catalyst, and one post catalyst.

Re: Oxygen Sensor (FdOoUoRr)
I'm not sure what the color conversions are for the wires. I have four wires for my stock O2 sensor and 4 wires for my bosch o2 replacement sensor. The instructions have a chart listing the types (A,B,C,D) of OE sensors and the color conversion for the Universal O2 sensor. I do not know what type (A,B,C,D) or O2 sensor I currently have to figure out the coversion chart. I believe I have a Type C Stock O2 sensor, but I am not sure. If someone could confirm this, I can connect the correct colored wires.

we can't confirm it unless you tell us what the "types" are. i've done a bosch universal for my car b4. btw, denso direct fit 02 sensors are only $60 on ebay (same price as bosch universals in the store). tell us what each "type" is and we can match it for you.....

wow. not a very helpful diagram... it doesn't say which color is on the harness or the sensor (or for what brand of sensor)

Re: Oxygen Sensor (dantastic)
I believe I found the answer in the archives. I was only searching in the recent topics. I believe the wiring goes like this:
OEM/Bosch
Black=White Heater wire
Black=White Heater wire
Green=Grey Send wire
White=Black Receive wire
I appreciate everyone's quick responses! This website is very helpful.
I purchased a Bosch Premium (right) Universal O2 Sensor part #15733 (Supposedly made to use in my car (99' Honda Civic Si)). I believe my car uses OEM Sensor Type C because it was the only one that mentioned using a green ground wire. Thanks again.

its for bosch or an oem honda sensor.
its a very helpful diagram just not a masterpiece.
it shows you BOTH the colors on the harness and the sensor depending on how your holding either.
Even if the colors were all the same like on my harness, it still shows you which wire goes where on the sensor.
sorry its not good enough for you but it fixed my oxygen sensor.
