Owned by my license plate holes..
I've been trying to get my car back on the street after winter storage..both my license plate bolts had their heads break off, so I tried to drill them out and then retap a new thread..but now the damn tap broke in the newly formed hole.
Anyone have an idea of getting it out!? And even more important..anyone here have an easy way to get those bolts out!

Re: (ptran13)
Same thing happened to one of the bolts in my license plate....its still broken off inside the hole. I just used one bolt to hold on the rear plate and just made sure it was tight enough so it wouldn't fall and look ghetto

when you drill them out, use the plastic screws so that **** wont happen next time, and they dont rust

Re: Owned by my license plate holes.. (Mikey)
My rear license plate tapped threads stripped. Even though the threads are not as strong, they still hold the licence plate well provided you don't have a heavy licence plate frame like I did. So now, I just drive w/o my heavy licence plate frame. I bought the new plastic pieces, but haven't installed them yet. I'm hoping that the dealer will do it for free when I bring my car in for my next tune up.

isnt that a little excessive for license plate holes?
