Do you check you'r fan switch? is actually the fan going on?
there are 2 way to tell if your head gasket is gone, drive the car for till it gets hot, then check your hoses, are they with a lot of pressure? if they are chances are you have a blown gasket, actually if you keep driving the car eventually some hose gona give up to the pressure, because the presure in one or more pistons is going into the cooling system, the other scenario is that you'll have wather in your engine oil this is the inverse case your gasket is brocken in som place where it don't let presure into the cooloing system but let water gets into the engine, hope neither of this is you case, but if it is the soonest you find out may save you some $$$, you may get away with just changeing the gasket, and not the complete head.
hope this help and good luck
