Default which option makes more sense???

I can either swap a B18C1 into my eg hatch (93, bone stock) or buy a 99 civic si coupe (bone stock).
Which makes more sense in the long term? Cost effective? Car will be mostly daily driver but want it to have decent power.
Thanks
V

Go with the swap. Its faster, cheaper, and you get the B18C instead of the B16A.

Go with the Si. I have an EG hatch with a swap, and it seems like amotor swapped car is like a car that has been totaled. There is always something that is not 100% right, usually a little thing, but always something.

Speak for yourself.

Did you happen to buy a wrecked/salvaged hatchback and then do your swap?

I have 2 hybrids and have owned 3 total and not one has ever felt like it's been totalled.

I've been really happy with mine. Uses more fuel than a stock car, but that's my fault

Swap would be best performance wise. However if you ever want to get rid of the car, it will be much easier to sell a 99 SI...

Go with the swap. Much cheaper and lighter and the b18c1 will have more power!

Swap is more cost effective. I used to have a GS-R, and the only thing that I'm missing w/ the hatch is that it's over-all a nicer car.

PS: Rememer. Chicks don't dig snatchbacks.

Edit: I don't sense any make

so true. I had a GSR sedan, uber-pimp and fun to drive but the low cost of the hatchy project 0wnz me. No carpayment was the best choice for me. Bah on the chicks, they cost more money to maintain than my GSR did

DIY and you will save a lot of money AND learn very much
