2nd:
b16 sir
buy a b18b block
sleave it to 85 or 86mm
custom pistons
rods
ctr headwork
spot face combustion chamber
there will be more done, this is just a quick overview to get the idea.

I would definately go with the 2nd choice. Just because I had a friend who went with the B18 bottom end and was very happy. And then I have another friend who was a B16 with oversized pistons and a DRAG kit running 8 psi and is not too happy. The B18 bottom end on a B16 head is whats considered a poor mans type r. It gives very good torque and works fantastic with the great flow of the B16 head. And there are so many options to make so much power with that setup. Imagine then if you put a DRAG turbo on the B18 bottom end with the B16 head! Crazy power and TORQUE! Just my opinion though.

thanx alot man. the oversized pistons in the b18b will basicly make it a b20.
maybe i should go with the gsr block instead.
im only getting the b16 first cuz im getting it reeeaaaly cheap.
thanx for the post HatchEG6.

putting new sleaves in that will make the bore size 85 or 86mm instead of the stock 81mm. the b16s displacement should be about 1.8 and the b18 should be about 2.0. plus the cylinders are now stronger and can be reved or boosted higher.

If you're into drag, go with the resleeved LSVTEC. I had one and man tq is good! But if your into auto-xing or road racing, just stick to a b16 or b18c.
Either way, I really don't think that the first choice is anything worth getting excited about.

oh you could still turbo your lsvtec and that would be awesome, I just don't see resleeving a b16, but to each their own.
