Only 1 speaker works, wiring or aftermarket deck?
Recently purchased the car, 2000 Civic LX, has a cheap Walmart Sony deck installed. Right now I only have sound coming from the passenger front door speaker. I replaced both speakers with brand new Kenwood speakers, still only getting sound from passenger front door.
Rears appear to be in good shape, but I bought replacements anyway.
If it were just one speaker not working I'd guess it was wiring got pinched/cut somewhere, but the fact that only one is working leads me to believe the deck may be the issue.
Any insight? I'm not very good with electronics/wiring, so I don't know where to start other than the deck.

Remove the deck from the dash and unplug the plug right at the back of the deck. Measure the resistance of each speaker circuit at the plug. Should be a couple of ohms. Any that are open circuit, go to the speaker and test it directly. Speaker good but open circuit at the deck means a problem with the wiring. It is common for the wires to break where they go between the driver's door and the rest of the car, disabling that speaker.
