speaker wiring? The problem?
ok, I want to rewire my front driver-side interior, but Im not quite sure on what to expect that I'm dealing with. Im looking for someone who has experience with doing this. I know i need to take off the door panel, and i see the one large screw towards the front of the door, but what else do I need to take care of to get the panel off? And once that is opened up, how much wiring would you say I should expect to see back there?
Ive got the front interiors wired so they are running to my amp, and the driver's side basically does not work at all, and I'm assuming it may have somethig to do with the wiring, since the speakers are only a few months old, so Im pretty sure its not a problem with them. And as for the passenger side, the speaker wired to the amp seems to come in and out of audio, at a very low volume, they just cut out, but once I go to a decent level, it cuts back in and after that it plays fine. Are there any other ideas as to why they do this besides the wiring?

sounds like you've probably got some wires touching.
as far as the panel....take out all the screws you can find, and then just go around the panel slowly and pry it off of the door. when it's all off, you need to pull straight up and then out to get it off the door.
there's not all that much wiring back there....just a harness for power locks/windows if you have it, and then your speaker wirnig.

tegs are very easy, just take off the thing around the door handle first and disconnect everything, there's 2 screws in the doors, then pry off the door so the clips come out and lift up on the door
