This site is full of information on what you can do and I am sure you're not the first person to ask this question...try this...

No, none really, just basic I/H/E - use the search feature though, as the last poster said, as this has been covered countless times.

Your engine needs to make a lot of power stock, to make a lot of power with bolt-ons. Stock D series motors don't.

You can bolt a good header, exhaust, high flow cat, and cold air intake on your D series, and you'll gain maybe 10-15hp after dropping over a grand in "good" parts.

In the words of one of the smartest guys on H-T:

Boost, referring to turbocharging your car. They simply don't make a lot of power with bolt-ons, so it's a huge waste of money. I recommend just putting a decent header, with a decent intake, and a decent exhaust on it, you'll pick up ~8whp or so for maybe 400, and that'll be that. Anything else is a waste unless ur gonna drop "a mil" into it.

EDIT:
PS: Your cheapest option, while getting a lot for your money, is by far, turbocharging. You can make about a 90hp-120hp at the ground gain or so on a stock block (while still remaining reliable) for about 1500-3k tuned.

If you just have a couple hundred or so I wouldn't recommend doing anything to it, as it's not really enough to do anything that's worth it. Some people will say you can spend ~500 on KYB struts with Koni or H&R or the like springs which can provide a nice increase in handling, same with a strut tower bar (front, back, or both)...you don't really need a sway bar unless you're going to go autocross/road race, and unless you drop more than 2" you don't need a camber kit. Some people prefer to lower their car some.

i don't know if bolt ons strictly refers to HP gains, but about 1k can go a long way when put into suspension.

Exactly, you can get a very decent suspension system for ~500. Refer to my edit for more details about suspension.
