oil pressure light wont illuminate
I have a 98 honda civic lx and did the smog for it but didnt pass because of a warning light failure. The guy told me that when you turn the key all the warning lights should illuminate. I checked the lights and found out the oi pressure light was missing. I bought a light for it but it still doesnt turn on. All the other lights work fine but the oil pressure one does not. Kinda running out of ideas before taking it.to a mechaninc but don't wanna pay a ridiculous price just to fix a light bulb. I was thinking that maybe that specific warning light just doesnt illuminate only when it has to. Also i was thinking of just changing the cluster with a new/used one but not sure if itll affect the smog test.

Re: oil pressure light wont illuminate
The oil pressure switch inserted into the block near the oil filter may be bad. Test it.
If you're really lucky, it's just unplugged or the connector is contaminated with oil, preventing electrical contact.
