Default OIL LEAK

ok i have my 99 si here. and it wont stop leaking from the oil pan. i replaced the gasket and also added a little bit of sealant. still leaking. could it be from high oil pressure? any solutions?

might as well be the first to tell you to clean the area real well where you suspect its leaking and try and get an idea where its coming from.

well its commin out from the all around. i believe its the high oil pressure. i hear its common . not sure though

oil should never leak, the pressure really shouldn't cause it to leak. how hard are you tightening the pan? which pan is it?

oh its a b16, the torque should only be like 10 ft lbs i think. is it turbo at all? could be crankcase pressure

May be crankcase pressure but not oil pressure.

We ran over 100psi and never had a oil leak.

Is there oil coming down the block from some place else ?

For the most part, Honda's never leak oil.

Torque specs for the oil pan bolts is 8.3ft/lb. Check your PCV valve (if it's bad crankcase pressure will be high).

its actually a b18c1 block with b16 head. yes turbo and built bottom end.

do you have a catchcan setup? you have too much crankcase pressure, no oil leak is common man. **** shoudn't be leaking at all. oil pressure wouldn't cause that
